Being more technical than artful—an odd thing to say about a crafter, but I’ve always felt it to be the case—I was trying to work with various graphic artists on a logo. Since these folks were also friends, it just never seemed to rise to the top of their “to do” list, even though I was a paying customer.
Well, I finally took it upon myself to create my own. I’d love any feedback you might have!
I like it!
As a side note, I’ve had similar experiences when I’ve hired friends. A thought – did they offer a friend discount? Maybe they did in their minds but didn’t tell you, and that’s why the lower priority. I dunno – we have had this happen twice. One was a friend’s landscaping company, and while he showed up to evaluate the job, we never got anything back as a proposal. I’ve decided that if we do that again, we will immediately get info re their policies for deposits, estimates, lead time for work, and other requirements. We’ll then evaluate everyone using the same criteria.

It’s possible they thought I was expecting a discount. I’ve never asked for one and in some cases I feel I might have paid more. 🙂 But I’d still rather pay my friends than someone else.

I’ve had the same experience, maybe they don’t take ‘friend requests’ as seriously as ‘real business’ even though I was prepared to pay. I do like this, BTW. Nice job!
